The win over New Hampstead sets up a Region 2AAAAA Showdown with Wayne County in Jesup Friday night. The series with Wayne County dates all the way back to 1962. The Yellow Jackets dominated the series early on, however the Gators have had there way lately winning 12 of the last 15 games. During that time the Gators have outscored Wayne 291-54 with 5 shutouts, but Wayne's 28-14 victory in last years Region title game stung the Gators and they have had this date circled on the calendar all year. The Gators will be looking for their 5th Region Title in the last 8 years.

It should be a great football game and one that you don't want to miss. You should expect long lines at the ticket booth. This game has the potential to be a sellout so having a ticket in hand is a premium this week. We have a limited number of advance tickets that can be purchased at the high school ticket office beginning Tuesday morning. All tickets are $8.

 * Note: this game is the Game of the Week for WSAV Channel 3 out of Savannah and will be broadcast Friday night.
