The 2018 Football Season came to an end Friday night in Warner Robins as the Demons muscled their way to a 35-0 second round victory over the Ware County Gators. The Gators finished the season 8-4 with all four loses coming to playoff teams. Three of those teams, Lowndes, Coffee and Warner Robins advanced to the GHSA Quarterfinals next Friday.
Ware had chances early to make a huge difference in the game, but a turnover and two failed fourth and one plays ended hopes. Warner Robins took advantage of those miscues and that turned out to be the difference in the game. The Warner Robins defense held the Gators offens to it's lowest totals on the season allowing just 75 yards rushing and 64 yards passing. Thomas Castellanos and Jeremiah O'Hara led the Gator in rushing with 42 and 19 yards respectively. Castellanos was just 3 of 11 passing with one interception for 43 yards.
The final Touchdown Club meeting will be held tonight at 6:00 in the Community Room at Memorial Stadium.
