Levi Jewell fires a 77 to Lead Ware Golf Team

On Monday afternoon, Glynn Academy hosted the Golden Isles Invitational at the Retreat Golf Club on Saint Simons Island.  The tournament was won by Pierce County with a score of 314.  Statesboro High School shot 316, Glynn Academy shot 317, Frederica Academy 324, Benedictine 338, Wayne County 341, Ware County 346,  Savannah Country Day 350, and Brunswick High School 374.  Zach Robinson from Wayne County and Pope Arlene from Glynn Academy tied with low medalist honors with a score of 74.  Pope Arlene won the low medalist trophy honor by regression. 

 

Levi Jewell for Ware County shot a 77 to finish tied for 6th overall.  Also for Ware County:  Coby Eunice shot an 81, Fred Windham an 84, Blake Turner 104, and Ty Tatum a 107.  Ware County will travel to Jekyll Island for a 9-hole match today against Glynn Academy, Brunswick High, Wayne County, and Brantley County.
