With Val On The Mound, Ware Shuts Out Coffee

 

Val Ortiz threw a gem on Thursday for Ware, allowing zero runs and beating Coffee by a score of 4-0

One bright spot for Coffee was a single by Strickland in the first inning.

Ortiz was the winning pitcher for the Lady Gators. She lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out ten and walking one.

Strickland took the loss for Coffee. She went six innings, allowing four runs on nine hits, striking out one and walking zero.

Ware socked one home run on the day. Ortiz put one out in the fifth inning.

Ware collected nine hits on the day. Dyonne McClain and Cullee Peaveyall had multiple hits for Ware County Gators VarsityPeavey and McClain each collected two hits to lead the Lady Gators.

Strickland led Coffee with two hits in three at bats.
