Lady Gators Eliminated From GHSA State Softball Tournamenet

The Lady Gators magical softball season came to an end yesterday in Thomasville as the Thomas County Central Lady Yellow Jackets defeated Ware in a Sweet Sixteen double header matchup. The Lady Gators reached the Sweet Sixteen by defeating top seeded Whitewater last week to advance in the state tournament. During those three games the Lady Gators pounded out 31 hits and five home runs. Lauren Smallwood and Savannah Jeffers each hit two homers and Val Ortiz added one as well.

The Lady Gators picked up 17 wins on the season with a very young team and will work hard in the off season to get ready for next year. Congrats to the players and coaches for a terrific season.
