Game 1

 

Ware County Can't Catch Up To Ola

 

The Lady Gators fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 3-1 loss to Ola on Tuesday. Ola scored on an error in the second inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Ola pitchers struck out six, while  sat down three.

In the second inning, Ola got their offense started. An error scored one run for Ola.

Mattie Cash was the winning pitcher for Ola. She surrendered one run on four hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one. Kaylee Harris threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Erin Meeks took the loss for Ware. She went six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and striking out three.

Sierra TaylorD'Yonne McClainSavannah Jeffers, and Lauren Smallwood all had one hit to lead Ware County.

Ola saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Morgan Sena and Hope Mask each racked up multiple hits for Ola. Sena went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Ola in hits.

Game 2

 

Ware grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Ola

 

Ware nabbed the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Ola on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with Ware batting in the bottom of the fifth when Adrian Harris' sac fly scored one run for Ware County Gators Varsity.

Ware earned the victory despite allowing Ola to score three runs in the fourth inning. Marley HolmesHope Mask, and Heather Dickerson each had RBIs in the big inning.

In the second inning, The Lady Gators got their offense started. D'Yonne McClain grounded out, scoring one run.

Avian Trull was the winning pitcher for Ware. She lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and four runs while striking out four and walking one.

Kaylee Harris took the loss for Ola. She lasted two innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out one and walking zero.

Holmes started the game for Ola. She allowed six hits and three runs over four innings, striking out two and walking zero

Ware each managed two hits to lead the Lady Gators.

Ola scattered nine hits in the game. Mickey Volley and Madison Norrell all managed multiple hits for Ola. Ola was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Volley had the most chances in the field with six.
