Gators Boys and Girls Tennis Teams  Ace Clinch 5-0 to Open Season with Win at Home

Boys Tennis Results:

The Ware Boys Tennis Team won its home and season opener against Clinch County with an impressive 5-0 victory.
 
Number 1 singles Brock Anderson won (6,2)(6,1) against Jason Douglas.  Number 2 singles Ladue Raulerson won in straight sets against Riley Steedley (6,2)(6,1) and number 3 singles Andrew Jones won his match against Shane Moten (6,0)(6,1).
 
Both number 1 and number 2 doubles won their matches.  Number 1 doubles team of Xavier Huff and Joseph Hampton defeated Payton Gilbreth and Antrez Holden in straight sets (7,5)(6,4).  Number 2 doubles Parker Jones and Davion Solomon won in a third set tiebreaker (7,5)(4,6)10-4.  Coach Bedford said, "I was proud of the consistency of the guys.  They show a lot of potential this season."  The Gators take on Berrien County in Nashville on Thursday February 7th.
 
Girls Tennis Results:
 
 The Ware County Lady Gator Tennis team began their season today with a win against Clinch County by a team score of 5-0. 

At first singles, Libby Hughes won in dominating fashion 6-2, 6-0. 

At second singles Maggie Tyre won convincingly 6-0, 6-0. 

At third singles, Jodi Highsmith dominated by a score of 6-0, 6-0.  

The first doubles team of Delaney Hendricks and Sophia Choudhri smashed their opponents 6-1, 6-1. 

At second doubles, Ralicia Green and Sydney Bokor aced their match 6-0, 6-0. 

It is always big to start the season off with a win. The girls all played well to begin a very hopeful season. Our next match is Thursday, away, against Berrien County.
