On Tuesday afternoon, Ware County traveled to Pine Forest Country Club in Jesup. Ware County competed against Glynn Academy, Brunswick High School, Wayne County, and Brantley County. Low medalist in the girls match was Carlin Paulk from Ware County and Taylor Palmer from Brunswick High, with a score of 39. In the girls match, Brunswick High shot a 138, Ware County shot a 145, Wayne County shot a 150, and Brantley County shot a 179.
Ware County girls scores were: Carlin Paulk 39,Grace Link 48, Emma Thomas 58, and Clarissa Musgrove 63.
Ware County girls will travel over to Brunswick to compete against Brunswick High on Thursday, and the Ware County boys will play again on March 12th, at Laura Walker State Park.
On Monday afternoon, Ware County traveled to Circlestone Golf Club in Adel to play Cook County and Berrien County in a golf match. Berrien County won the boys match with a score of 165, Ware County finished 2nd, with a score of 168, and Cook County was last with a score of 220. Low Medalist in the boys match was a 36 shot by a player from Berrien County. The girls match ended up with just a low medalist score. A girl from Cook County got sick and had to withdraw. Cook County did not have a girls score after the withdraw. Berrien County did not have any girls. The girls ended up playing for low medalist honors which was won by Carlin Paulk of Ware County with a score of 42.
Scores for Ware County boys were: Lee Smith 41, Kaleb Dial 42, Ethan Arnold 42, Nathan Pritchett 43, Yuri Steedley 51, and Nicolas Putala 58. Scores for the Ware County girls were: Carlin Paulk 42, Grace Link 46, Emma Thomas 48, and Clarissa Musgrove 51.
