Lady Gators fought hard but came up short 2-1 against South Effingham. The game was scoreless for the 1st 65 minutes of the gane when Emma Teston scored the 1st goal of the game putting the Lady Gators on top. The lead was short lived and South Effingham got the equalizer with 10 minutes left in the game. Usually the team that wins the 1st and last 10 minutes of the game typically wins the soccer match. South Effingham scores the go ahead goal with 9 minutes left in the game. Lady Gators were focused and organized on defense the entire night but fell asleep on two plays. Lady Gators played good enough to win but ultimately came up short. Meleah Morton played with ton of heart the entire 80 minutes making one play after another and committed 100% to every tackle earning Woman of the Match Honors.
