Lady Gators Sweep Toombs

Lady Gators Sweep Toombs

The Lady Gators traveled over to Lyons for a playdate with the Lady Bulldogs of Toombs County High School. The Gators were able to notch a win after a couple of winless playdates. The Lady Gators defeated the Lady Bulldogs in two straight sets. The Gators won the first set by a score of 25-15, and would go on to win the second set by the score of 25-21. "Our two seniors really stepped up their game by leading by example" said Head Coach Alesia Gibson. "We were missing our outside hitter, Trinity Norwood, due to her being selected to the 2018 Home Coming Court. So as a team, we had to change our rotation, and several of our young players gained some valuable playing time. With a couple of girls missing, this was where our seniors displayed leadership, guidance, and overall great attitudes throughout the match." These two seniors will be honored on Monday, in our last home game of the regular season. Please come out and support the Lady Gators as they take on Lowndes County High School and Bradwell Institute.

On the JV side, the Lady Gators defeated the Lady Bulldogs in two straight sets as well. The Lady Gators won the first set 25-17, and would go on and win the second set 25-22.
